______ As Myth
This project conceived by Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton, 2021-22 CERCL Artist in Residence and owner of Deep Ink, LLC, includes a community writing workshop centered on personal mythology (modeled after her forthcoming book Black Chameleon), an art-based project that interprets local mythologies into visual art, and a community exhibit highlighting student, community and professional artists at the Moody Center for the Arts.
"________ as Myth" Writing Workshop
A two part generative workshop where Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton led participants to create mythology based in the in-betweens of their own lives.

"________ as Myth" Art Project
Artists interpreted myths created at the writing workshop and from Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton’s memoir Black Chameleon (2023)

"________ as Myth" Exhibit
A community-centered exhibition, exploring mythology as a catalyst for self-discovery and social commentary. Taking inspiration from Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton’s memoir Black Chameleon (2023), the artwork investigates how modern-day mythology can explain the nuances of our everyday experience.
