Black History Month webinar sponsored by the Center for African and African American Studies (CAAAS) and the Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning (CERCL). This talk will explore the history of the FBI’s engagement of black faith communities. In addition to the Bureau’s notorious Counter Intelligence Program (COINTELPO), the lecture will also explore other was the FBI attempted to utilize and partner with black clergy. In the end, this history helps us make sense of the Bureau’s current activities.
